Accident repair questions
Should I call my insurer or Autocraft first?
Call us first. We can recover your vehicle, explain your options and deal with your insurer for you. If you weren't at fault, we can often arrange the claim through the other driver's insurer so you have no excess to pay.
Can I get a courtesy car?
We have manual and automatic courtesy cars, subject to availability. If you weren't at fault, a like-for-like replacement can usually be arranged through the third party's insurer.
How long will my repair take?
It depends on the damage and parts availability. Small cosmetic repairs can often be done in a day; larger repairs take longer. We'll give you a timescale once the car has been assessed and keep you updated throughout.
Is my car safe to drive after an accident?
Not always. Fluid leaks, steering that pulls, broken lights or deployed airbags mean it should be recovered rather than driven. If in doubt, call us and we'll arrange recovery.
